Kern High School District's Virtual Enterprise made history as they swept the national business plan competition this week in NYC!

Congratulations to all of the KHSD students who represented their teams, their schools, our district, and themselves with professionalism and class. Virtual Enterprise California State Conference & Exhibition

 
Virtual Enterprise high school students from all over California participated in a two-day conference and exhibition hosted at the Mechanics Bank Convention Center in Bakersfield, CA. Teams of students were judged in various competitions relating to the virtual company they have created. On Friday, January 27th students participated in a trade show where they showcased their firm and sold products.
 
Among the 42 firms that scored the highest in regional competitions competed in the State Business Plan Competition. The top eight teams will then advance to the Virtual Enterprise International Business Plan Competition in New York City in April.
 
Congratulations to the Kern High School District Virtual Enterprises International, Inc. teams placing among the top 5 firms in the state for the business plan competition of the State of California Western Regional Finals.

Virtual Enterprise Regional Competition

 

At CTEC, 9 local high schools with Virtual Enterprise (VE) Business Plan teams attended Kern County's Western Regional Rounds Business Plan competition on Wednesday, December 9, 2022. The Business Plan Competition challenges VE students to demonstrate their business expertise through written submissions and oral presentations. The top 42 VE teams qualify to then move forward and compete at the state level.

 

Congratulations to Ridgeview High School, Centennial High School, Bakersfield High School, and Stockdale High School business plan teams for placing on the top 42 teams!

 

Stay Tuned-VE State Competition is January 26 - 27, 2023 at the Mechanics Convention Center in Bakersfield!

 

Virtual Enterprise Mini Trade Show

 

On Monday, November 7th, 300 KHSD Virtual Enterprises International, Inc. students who represent ten local teams came to CTEC to have their Mini Trade-Show and receive business advice from fourteen local business and community partners.

 

Thank you to Jeannie Bertolaccini AIA, Di Wu, Ph.D., CMA, CPA, Ali Morris, Raquel Jimenez, Shontay Smith-Sweeney, Brian Conner, CPA CMA MBA, Deanna Blaise, Jason Chamberlain, Scott Westall, CPA, Becca Bland, Steve Bohn, Cepi W., Richard Chapman, Tomeka Powell for spending your morning with us and sharing your advice and expertise with our students to help them excel in the Virtual Enterprises International, Inc. competition.
