Jasmine Jaime

Jasmine Jaime is a local professional and entrepreneur with over twelve years of experience working for a civil and transportation engineering firm with a focus on the Thomas Roads Improvement Program (TRIP), a $1.4 billion-dollar local transportation enhancement program.

In addition, Jasmine is the founder and owner of The Bako Market, a monthly community-based marketplace that provides exposure to over 100 local vendors and small businesses (nominated for a 2023 Beautiful Bakersfield Award in the Urban Revitalization category).

Jasmine is a product of Kern County, born and raised in Delano CA.  Jasmine is a graduate of Delano High School and has attended Bakersfield College, California State University Bakersfield, and the University of La Verne where she has obtained an Associates Degree in Psychology, a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, a Master's Degree in Business Administration and a Project Management Certification.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Jasmine has a passion for community engagement and serves as a member of the Bakersfield Angels, a nonprofit organization that supports families in foster care throughout Kern County. Jasmine also served as a mentor for the R.O.S.E Mentor Program, assisting young women in high school through positive mentoring.   

Jasmine is a mother of one, with a son attending Stockdale High School, and has several pets she adores. Jasmine loves spending time with loved ones and never misses an opportunity to cheer on her son at his various sporting events.   

Jasmine enjoys life and all it has to offer, and she is committed to lifelong learning. Jasmine seeks out new inspiration through traveling and experiencing new cultures which in turn help her to inspire others.
